Time Off

Paid Time Off (PTO)

alliant offers PTO so you can take time to relax, recharge, support your loved ones, and be there for the special moments. When taking PTO, be sure to obtain the approval of your manager. Jury Duty does not count towards your PTO days.

Full-time new hires hired from the first of the month through the 14th of the month, commence accruing PTO on the first of the month in which they are hired. Full-time new hires hired from the 15th of the month to the end of the month commence accruing PTO on the first of the following month of their hire date. You should not plan on taking any PTO during your first 90 days of employment with alliant. However, when required by applicable state or local laws, PTO is available upon your hire date.

In the calendar year of your hire, you earn 1.25 days of PTO each month. Thus, your PTO balance will be pro-rated for the number of months that you earn 1.25 days. For example, if your hire date is April 20, your annual PTO accrual for the year in which you hire will be 10 days (1.25 days X 8 months).

PTO can be taken in half day or full day increments only. PTO does not carry over between years and must be used by December 31 annually. However, if your start date is in October, November or December, PTO will carry over to the next year.

On January 1st of each following year, you will receive your annual PTO amount to use throughout the year. If you have unused accrued PTO when your employment ends, you will not receive compensation for it (unless required by applicable state or local laws).
