The BCBSTX Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plan offers the flexibility to choose an in-network or out-of-network provider each time you need care. Keep in mind, you will save money when you visit in-network providers.
Preventive care is covered in full and you pay a copay for office visits, urgent care, and prescriptions. Other services may be subject to the deductible and coinsurance.

The BCBSTX HDHP plan offers in-network and out-of-network services as well.
Preventive care is also covered in full when you use an in-network provider. However, there are no copays for office visits, urgent care, and prescriptions. You pay the negotiated price of these services and they all go towards satisfying your annual deductible. With an HDHP, you may contribute into an HSA with pre-tax contributions to help cover your qualified medical expenses. alliant will also make quarterly contributions into your HSA.

When you enroll in either the PPO or HDHP plan, you automatically receive prescription drug coverage. You can fill prescriptions at a network pharmacy or use the mail-order option to receive a 90-day supply at a reduced rate.
